IT managers are coming under a lot of pressure to provide
two-factor authentication, driven by compliance and other
regulatory moves in both the private and public sectors. These
include the Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SoX), Payment Card Industry
standards (PCI) and the UK Government's GSi Code of Connection

The first factor - “something you know” - is the familiar system
password, but setting up the second - “something you have” -
